Title: PIX-R TRIAL for patients with DLBCL
Overview: The PIX-R TRIAL is a randomized multicenter study comparing pixantrone + rituximab with gemcitabine + rituximab in patients with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) who have relapsed after therapy with CHOP-R or an equivalent regimen and are ineligible for stem cell transplant. Now enrolling.
Study Value: Low toxicity option for patients relapsing from 1-3 lines of prior therapy and are ineligible for SCT; Pixantrone has shown promising results for efficacy in DLBCL (progression-free survival); no SOC exists for relapsed patients, clinical trial recommended by NCCN guidelines for this population.
