Study Opportunity

Title: Bendamustine with Rituxan® for Adult Patients with Mantle Cell Lymphoma

Overview: This study provides Bendamustine (Treanda®) to patients whose cancer has resurfaced or not responded to prior treatments. All eligible patients will receive Treanda® by infusion (plus Rituxan® by infusion on day 1) on days 1 and 2 of each 28-day cycle for up to 6 cycles, although treatment will be stopped if a patient's cancer gets worse or the patient withdraws from the study. Scans to measure response to treatment are according to standard of care.

Study Value: Adding Bendamustine to Rituxan® treatment has increased response among patients with non-Hodgkins lymphomas, with fewer side effects than standard chemotherapy. This study will help define this treatment combination's effect in mantle cell lymphoma.

Lymphoma, Follicular or Mantle Cell Non-Hodgkins

Study Opportunity

Title: Phase I/II dose escalation study of the Pan-Histone Deacetylase Inhibitor PCI-24781 in Lymphoma

Overview: The first part of the study will determine the highest dose of study drug that can be taken without causing serious side effects in patients with lymphoma. The appropriate dose determined from the first part of the study will be used in the second part of the study to assess disease response in lymphoma patients. Study offers monotherapy every other week to follicular or mantle cell lymphoma patients as second-line treatment for up to 12 cycles or until disease relapse.

Study Value: PCI-24781 is well-tolerated including complete absence of prolonged QTc or other cardiac abnormalities.
